The American Ballet Theatre held its Fall Gala on Tuesday, at the Lincoln Center in New York. It was their first in-person gala since before the pandemic, in 2019. Misty Copeland, the first African American female principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre, attended the event. She stunned head to pointe in a dress by Vera Wang and shoes designed by fashion newcomer Kahli Haslam.

Copeland is promoting her new book, Black Ballerinas: My Journey to Our Legacy, which releases November 2.
