Afrobeats is touching all aspects of the music industry. Nigeria’s own music star, Yugo, is one artist capturing the attention of all those who follow the genre closely. A new addition to the record label, Benin City Entertainment, Yugo, born “Ugochukwu,” translated to “God’s Glory” in the Igbo language, is beginning to make his mark in more ways than one.
He made his festival debut alongside mega stars Olamide, Tiwa Savage, at ISL Fest, brought to Nigeria by Immensum Music and Stellar International Records. Yugo performed his set, proving that he is right at home in front of the crowd.
He followed up his festival spotlight with a single drop, entitled “Before Before.” The song has been featured on Spotify playlists and continues to ride the airwaves in Lagos. Hear his newest single below.
