Just recently, in an article written by Bill McCarthy and published on the fact checking platform on POLITIFACT, on the 1st of July 2020, it was revealed that The Notorious B.I.G song “Ten Crack Commandments” inspired a scene in a play written by Manuel Miranda and co- called ‘musical Hamilton’.
The writer revealed that An American “code duello” did exist, according to ‘PBS’s American Experience’. But the 1777 code had more than 10 rules — it had 25.
Miranda who wrote the play and the song; “Ten Duel Commandments” shared in a ‘Genius’ annotation that he was inspired by “Ten Crack Commandments,” a rap song by the Notorious B.I.G.
“Ten Duel Commandments” is the fifteenth song from Act 1 of the play – musical Hamilton, based on the life of Alexander Hamilton, which premiered on Broadway in 2015. Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote both the music and lyrics to the song.
