Chic Luxury Apartment In Paris, Jewels, And Travel Are All Listed Among The Alleged Gifts Sonia Rolland Received From Former Gabonese President Omar Bongo.
The French newspaper “Liberation,” reported on the case indicating that sources close to the investigation confirmed that the former Miss France Sonia Rolland was questioned by authorities in Nanterre, a western suburb in Paris.
A commanding officer from the Central Office for the Repression of Major Financial Crime (OCRGDF) met with Rolland and asked her about the alleged embezzled public funds and misappropriated property.
The French judiciary has been investigating the considerable wealth accumulated in France by former Gabonese President Omar Bongo and other African heads of state since 2010.
In April 2016, real estate in Paris and a villa on the French Riviera in Nice, both belonging to the family of Gabonese President Ali Bongo, who succeeded his father former Gabonese President Omar Bongo following his death in 2009, were seized.
