The very Handsome Regé-Jean Page won’t be back on the Netflix Hit Show “Bridgerton.” It was painful to learn this the first time, but Netflix series fans are starting to get used to it.
The Duke of Hastings had only a secondary role in the new season and had to make only a few short appearances in just three to five episodes. Netflix was willing to pay him a minimum $50k per episode, reports the Hollywood Reporter. However, the actor refused.

According to the 31-year-old’s relatives, he considers Simon Basset’s fate (his character) to be done and there’s nothing more to talk about his character. He had accepted this role because he only hired him for one season.
More so, his reveal through the series has opened up many opportunities for him in theaters. Thus, he will be the hero of the next adaptation of “Dungeons and Dragons” and will share the poster with Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans in “The Gray Man,” a new Netflix production.
