Netflix has shown tremendous diversity in it’s programming in the past and a willingness to jump into the African market with regional programming like the Wedding Party and much larger releases like Queen Sono. Queen Sono is unique as it features South African actress Pearl Thusi as the heroin as she plays the signature role in a series that rivals in it’s plotline many other shows within it’s genre.
